Jonathan Adler Fabrics
Jonathan Adler fabric is nothing short of fabulous. His work has been gracing the shelves
of department stores for years now; all for great reason.
It all began in a small farm town in New Jersey when Jonathan
discovered pottery at summer camp. He claims to have spent his entire adolescence
in the basement "throwing pots." After attending Brown University,
working in the film industry, and being told by numerous sources to give up on
his art, Adler still dreamed of being a potter. Well, he achieved his dreams
and then some.
Upon showing his line to Barney's, Adler received orders upon orders
for his work. He dove head first into the industry, opening stores in Soho and
Los Angeles for his pottery. Success followed and in 2002 Adler launched his
furniture collection and new love for fabric. We are all so grateful for this,
simply because what followed is one of our absolute favorite lines of fabric.
Jonathan expanded from pottery to stationary, bedding, towels, and he
even designed the Parker Palm Springs Hotel. His uncanny ability to create landed
him a spot on Bravo's hit show Top Design and he has dozens of stores across
the country.
The Utopia line he designed for Kravet encompasses his love for color
and excitement in design. The bold patterns in vivid colors leave us all feeling
optimistic and cheerful. Whether its time for new curtains, pillows, or those dining
room chairs, choosing a Jonathan Adler fabric is a sure way to modernize and
brighten a room.
